Why resin

Paths That Stay Smooth and Weed-Free

If your front path is cracked or the slabs have started to lift and catch your toes, or you're fed up with weeding the gaps every summer, resin solves all of it at once. There are no joints, no loose stones and nothing to trip on.

Paths often take the hardest wear around a house. They get daily footfall, wheelie bins dragged along them and muddy boots, and they're usually in shade along a side wall. A resin bound path handles all of that well, and the porous finish dries quickly instead of staying green and slippery. It's also a natural partner to a new drive: matching the path to your resin driveway gives the whole frontage a finished look.

Neat edging to lawns and borders, with space left for garden lights or drainage where you need them.

Costs

Resin Path Prices in Milton Keynes

Paths are priced per square metre, but because they're often small areas with a lot of edging, the price per m² can be a little higher than for a large drive.

What affects the price of a resin path?

  • Length and width. Longer and wider paths use more material, though the price per m² drops as the area grows.
  • What's there now. Lifting old slabs or concrete adds time compared with laying over a sound base.
  • Edging and curves. Paths are mostly edges, so curves and cut-outs make a bigger difference than on a drive.
  • Levels. Building up a path to make it step-free, or adding a gentle ramp, takes extra work.

FAQs

Resin Path FAQs

Is a resin path good for wheelchairs?

Yes. A resin bound path laid to the right levels gives a smooth, firm and slip-resistant surface with no loose stones, which makes it one of the easiest surfaces for wheelchairs and walking frames.

Can a resin path go on a slope?

Yes, on gentle slopes. On steeper ground we may suggest a ramp, steps or a slightly coarser blend for extra grip. We'll advise you at the survey.

How wide should a garden path be?

For one person, around 90 cm to a metre is comfortable. If you want to walk side by side, or need room for a wheelchair or wheelie bin, allow 1.2 metres or more.
