Resin Driveways Built for Milton Keynes Homes
If your drive is cracked, sunken, patched or sprouting weeds, or you're tired of kicking loose gravel back off the pavement, a resin driveway is one of the best upgrades you can make to the front of your home. Resin Driveways Milton Keynes lays resin bound driveways, patios and paths for homeowners across Milton Keynes and the surrounding towns, and resin is all we do.
A resin bound surface is a mix of natural stone aggregate and clear resin, trowelled by hand into a smooth, seamless finish. It's permeable, so rainwater drains straight through. It doesn't grow weeds, it doesn't shed stones, and it needs little more than a sweep and an occasional wash. Whether your resin driveway goes over a sound existing surface or on a brand-new base, we'll tell you honestly which your drive needs.

About us
Local Installers Who Specialise in Resin
Our founder, Dan, spent years on groundworks crews around Milton Keynes before he set up on his own. He watched a lot of resin go down, and he watched a lot of it fail. Cracks after the first winter, patchy colour, stones coming loose. Almost every time, the problem wasn't the resin. It was the base underneath.
So we work from the ground up. Every job starts with a proper look at what's under your current drive, how the water runs off it and how you use the space. Only then do we talk about colours and finishes. It's a slower way to quote, but it's why our customers can expect their drive to look as good in ten years as it does on the day we finish. Pros and cons
Is a Resin Driveway Right for Your Home?
Milton Keynes was designated a new town in 1967, and many of its estates were built over the following twenty years. Across places like Bletchley, Bradwell, Great Linford and Netherfield, thousands of homes still have the tarmac or concrete drive they were built with. After 40 to 50 years of cars, frost and tree roots, a lot of those drives are cracked, sunken or patched. On the newer estates, from Broughton to Tattenhoe Park, many owners are simply ready to swap plain tarmac or block paving for something smarter.
Resin is a great choice for most of them, but not every drive. Here's the honest picture:
- It drains. A resin bound surface on a permeable base lets rainwater soak through, which helps with puddles and with the planning rules for front gardens.
- It stays tidy. There are no joints for weeds and no loose stones to scatter.
- It's low maintenance. A brush and an occasional low-pressure wash is usually all it needs.
- It looks smart for years. Laid properly with UV-stable resin, it typically lasts 15 to 25 years.
- It needs a sound base. Resin can only be as good as what's underneath it. A failing drive has to be dug out first.
- It costs more than gravel or plain tarmac upfront. But it lasts longer and looks better.
- Very steep drives can be tricky. Gentle slopes are fine; steep ones need a careful plan.

Costs
How Much Does a Resin Driveway Cost in Milton Keynes?
It's the first thing most people ask, and the honest answer is: it depends mostly on two things. The first is the size of the area. The second is whether we can lay over your existing surface or need to dig it out and build a new base. Here are typical prices for a new resin bound driveway in Milton Keynes, including dig-out, sub-base, edging and installation:
Small drive (about 30 m², 1 car)
£2,600 – £3,900
Typical 2-car drive (about 50 m²)
£4,250 – £6,500
Large drive (about 80 m²)
£6,800 – £10,400
Indicative Milton Keynes prices for a new installation. Laying over a sound existing surface typically costs £50 – £75 per m². Your price is confirmed in writing after a free site survey.

Why choose us
Why Homeowners Choose Us
Resin Specialists
We don't do a bit of block paving, a bit of fencing and the odd resin job. Resin is our specialism, so the crew on your drive does this every day.
Clear Prices, No Surprises
Your written quote shows the area, the price per square metre and exactly what's included. If we find something unexpected when we dig out, we stop and talk to you first.
The Base Comes First
We check what's underneath before we quote, and we'll tell you straight if your current drive isn't fit to overlay. That's the difference between a drive that lasts and one that cracks.
Tidy, Respectful Crews
We protect your doorstep, your neighbours' walls and the pavement, keep access open where we can, and leave the site swept and clean at the end of every day.
How it works
How Your Installation Works

We measure up, check your existing surface and drainage, and talk through how you use the space, from parking and bins to paths and the garden.
Written quote and colour choice

Groundwork and installation
If needed, we dig out and lay a new permeable base and edging. Then the resin and aggregate are mixed on site and trowelled by hand.
Handover and aftercare
We walk you through when you can use the drive and how to look after it. Usually that means feet after a few hours and cars after a day or two.
FAQs
Resin Driveway Questions
How long does a resin driveway last?
Laid on a sound base with UV-stable resin, a resin bound driveway typically lasts 15 to 25 years. The base and the quality of the installation matter far more than the resin itself.
Can resin go over my existing drive?
Often, yes, if your tarmac or concrete is stable, well drained and free of major cracks. If it's breaking up or sinking, it needs digging out first. We'll tell you honestly at the survey.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not. In England, a new hard surface over 5 m² in a front garden needs planning permission unless it's permeable or drains onto a lawn or border. A resin bound surface on a permeable base meets that rule. Check with your council if you live in a conservation area or a listed building.
Can resin be used on a sloped driveway?
Yes, on gentle to moderate slopes, and many Milton Keynes drives have a slight fall towards the road. Very steep drives need a careful plan, and we'll advise you at the survey.
How soon can I drive on it?
Usually after 24 to 48 hours, depending on the weather. You can normally walk on it after six to eight hours.

We live here too. Our team come from Great Linford, Bletchley, Stony Stratford and Olney, and a new drive is the kind of thing the whole street notices. That's why we keep the pavement clear, talk to the neighbours before a dig-out starts, and treat every street we work on as if it were our own.
